Before Arrival
Before travelling to Belgrade, incoming students should carefully prepare the practical, administrative and travel-related aspects of their stay in Serbia.
Entry and residence requirements, health insurance, accommodation, transport and other practical arrangements may depend on the student's nationality, length of stay and individual circumstances.
The sections below provide the main information students should review before arrival.
Visa and Residence
Incoming students are responsible for checking the entry and residence requirements applicable to their citizenship, travel document and intended length of stay in Serbia.
Visa requirements should be checked directly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

Check your own requirements
Students should therefore not rely on information provided to another student of a different nationality, even if both are participating in the same mobility programme.
Where required, Singidunum University can provide institutional documents relating to an accepted mobility. The decision on the issuance of a visa or residence permit remains the responsibility of the competent Serbian authorities.
Registration of Stay
Foreign citizens staying in Serbia must also ensure that their place of stay has been properly registered.
Registration period
Under the applicable rules, accommodation providers or private hosts are required to register a foreign citizen's stay with the competent authority within 24 hours of arrival.
Students renting private accommodation should therefore confirm this procedure with their landlord or accommodation provider immediately after arrival.
Health Insurance
Valid insurance is required
All incoming students must have valid health/medical insurance covering their entire period of stay in Serbia.
Students should arrange appropriate insurance before travelling and bring proof of coverage with them.
Some countries have reciprocal healthcare agreements with Serbia, but the conditions vary. Students should check their individual entitlement with their national health insurance provider before departure.

Having valid insurance is also explicitly acknowledged in the Incoming Student Application Form.
Accommodation
Singidunum University does not operate its own student dormitory or university residence for incoming exchange students.
Students are therefore responsible for arranging private accommodation in Belgrade. The Erasmus+ Office can provide advice and assistance during the search, but the rental agreement is concluded directly between the student and the landlord or real estate agency.

Before making a payment, confirm:
- identity of the landlord or agency
- exact address
- rental period
- deposit
- monthly utilities
- conditions for terminating the rental agreement
Students should also make sure that the landlord is willing and able to complete the required registration of a foreign citizen's stay in Serbia.
University Locations
Singidunum University uses several teaching locations in Belgrade. Depending on the courses you select, your classes may take place in different University buildings.
Always check your timetable
Always check the location indicated in your timetable before going to class. If you select courses from different study programmes, please also allow enough time to travel between University locations.
Danijelova

Kumodraška
Bulevar Peka Dapčevića 47a, 11010 BelgradeThe building may also appear in older maps and documents under its former address, Kumodraška 261a. The nearest stop is Pukovnika Petra Mišića, approximately four minutes on foot.
Makenzijeva
Makenzijeva 57, BelgradeThe building is located in Vračar, close to the Church of Saint Sava. The nearest stop is Katanićeva, immediately next to the building.
Getting from Belgrade Airport to the City
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is connected with the city by several public transport services.

Tickets are purchased from the driver and are paid in cash in Serbian dinars.
Taxi from the Airport
If you use a taxi from Belgrade Airport, use the official taxi service.
Available from e-kiosks in the baggage claim and arrivals areas.
Proceed to the official taxi rank outside the terminal.
The driver is required to charge the amount stated on the voucher.
Public Transport in Belgrade
Public transport in Belgrade is free of charge
This includes city and suburban buses, trams, trolleybuses and BG Train services.
No regular public transport ticket is therefore required for travel within the system covered by this measure.
Currency and Payments
Serbian dinar
The official currency of Serbia is the Serbian dinar (RSD).
Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks, post offices and authorised exchange offices.
Card payments are common in Belgrade, but keeping a reasonable amount of cash in RSD is useful for smaller purchases and services that accept cash only.
Mobile Phones and Internet
Local prepaid SIM and eSIM services are available from Serbia's mobile operators, including mts, Yettel and A1.
Students staying for a longer period may find a local prepaid SIM or eSIM more practical than international roaming.
Registration of prepaid users is mandatory, so identification may be required when activating a local number.
Yettel, for example, currently offers both physical tourist SIM packages and prepaid tourist eSIM options.
Students are advised to compare the current packages directly with the mobile operators after arrival, as prices and data allowances may change.
Practical Information
Time Zone
Belgrade uses Central European Time (CET) and Central European Summer Time during the daylight-saving period.
Electricity
Standard European electrical sockets are used.
Drinking Water
Tap water in Belgrade is safe to drink.
